Adding Cruises to an Itinerary

Adding a Cruise from the Add Service Menu

Click Add Service > Cruise and you will be taken to the cruise search form. In this form you can search for the cruise you want to add by using the filters on the left side of the page.

Filtering the list of cruises

The filters you can use are as follows:

Keyword

Search for a specific keyword in a cruise's name

Check-in and check-out date

For cruises, the check-in and check-out dates can't be modified, so you will always search for cruises that have a duration that matches the check-in and check-out date that you see in the form.

Rate and Availability

  • Tick "EXO Preferred" to see only EXO Preferred cruises, which are a comprehensive list of the best of the best, for value, style, comfort and service, curated annually by our local teams.
  • Tick Promotion to only see cruises with promotions, and when you click to view a cruise's room categories, you will only see those that are on promotion. A promotion can be a flat rates promotion, an early bird promotion or a stay/pay promotion.
  • Tick Available to only see cruises with at least one available room category.

If a room category is Available, it means that we have allotments or a free-sales arrangement with the cruise company, so it can be confirmed instantly when it is booked. Be aware though that a cruise's availability can change, so if a room category is available today, it may not be available if you check again a few days later.

If a room category is On-Request, you can still add it to your itinerary but we will need to check with the cruise company if they have rooms available and it may not be possible to book it. If that happens, we will work with you to find an alternative cruise to book instead.

Duration

Duration is read-only shows which duration of cruises are being searched for.

Sorting the list of cruises

To re-order the list of cruise search results, click the Sort icon in the top-right corner. The list of cruises can be sorted by the following fields:

  • Name Ascending: Sorted by cruise name alphabetically, A-Z
  • Name Descending: Sorted by cruise name reverse-alphabetically, Z-A
  • Price (Low to High): Sorted by price, cheapest to most expensive
  • Price (High to Low): Sorted by price, most expensive to cheapest

Viewing cruise search results

Any part of a cruise's details can be clicked to expand it, except for the camera icon in the bottom-left corner of the cruise's thumbnail image, which opens up the cruise's photo gallery.

Clicking anywhere else opens up the full cruise panel, with the following information:

Type tab

In here we have all room categories at the cruise. There are various tags that the room categories can have:

  • Availability: there will be an availability tag on every room category, and they will be either On Request or Available. Please see Rates and Availability above for more explanation as to what these tags mean.
  • Promotion: If the room category is a promotion, this tag will appear next to it, along with details of the terms of the promotion.
  • Non-refundable: If the room category is non-refundable, this tag will appear next to it. A non-refundable room category can't be cancelled it it's booked so you will be liable for the full charge of that room category.

Also next to each room category is the price per night and drop down list to select how many rooms of that category you want to add to your itinerary. You can have as many rooms from as many different categories as you need, depending on how many guests are in your itinerary.

Details tab

The Details tab contains a description of the cruise and may include information such as the cruise's website.

Adding a cruise to my itinerary

Once you have selected the room categories you are interested in, there will be one or possibly two buttons to add the cruise to your itinerary.

Add
This button will always be there, and clicking it adds the cruise to your itinerary as the selected cruise for that location.

If there is already a cruise selected in the location, this cruise will replace it and the previously selected cruise will become an alternative cruise.

Add as Alternative

If a cruise is already selected in the location, there will be a button to Add As Alternative. Clicking this adds the cruise as an alternative cruise to the one already selected.

Adding a Recommended Cruise

In some locations you will see a list of recommended cruises that you can click between.

Clicking "Add+" under one of these brings up a list of room categories at that cruise. See the information above under the Type Tab and Details Tab for more information on these tabs.

Select the room category(ies) that you are interested in and then click Add to add the cruise to your itinerary.
